Field notebook of William Gibson, 1881 July-1882 March. [1881-1882]

Field notebook of William Gibson of permanent survey of part of railway line from Cootamundra to Gundagai, July 1881-March 1882. Railway surveys required an understanding of gradients, levels and curve radii. The field notebook contains all measurements of bearing, distances, curves and maps for the relevant part of the line. The Cootamundra to Gundagai line was opened 1 June 1886.
